Christine B. Hastedt Accepting Outstanding Community Dedication Award from MAIN Leader Kandie Desell

AUGUSTA, Maine — The Maine Association of Interdependent Neighborhoods has presented Christine B. Hastedt with their “Outstanding Community Dedication Award.”

For over thirty five years Chris has been advocating for low-income Mainers. After spending many years with Pine Tree Legal, Chris has continued her work with Maine Equal Justice Partners working as a Public Policy Director fighting for rights and economic justice for people and families with low income as well as working to find solutions to end poverty.

Chris is loved by all who have the opportunity to know her. She is admired for being one of the driving forces behind public policies in Maine. She can be found spending long hours at the State House or office working to bring positive change to programs affecting the poor. In recent times she has spent much of her energy fighting to keep harmful cuts from devastating the lives of those most in need.
For this and more MAIN is pleased to recognized Chris as one of their recipients.

The Maine Association of Interdependent Neighborhoods (MAIN) is an all-volunteer coalition of individuals and organizations created in 1980 as a statewide voice for low to moderate income concerns.

MAIN is always looking for others who should receive recognition for their efforts. If there is someone you would like to nominate please bring them to our attention by writing a paragraph or two about them including contact info . You can contact current MAIN leaders Kandie Desell or Rachel Ridenour at PO Box 69 Hallowell, Me 04347 ; main.team@gmail.com, or find MAIN us on Facebook.
