Maine CDC offers health, safety sessions for CMA hosts

ST. JOHN VALLEY, Maine — The Maine Center for Disease Control will offer Health & Safety Information Sessions 1-3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Motel Gateway’s 4 Corners Lounge, Main Street, Madawaska.

Topics covered in these sessions include general sanitation, food safety, and temporary campgrounds.

These sessions are geared to provide general information to assist families and caterers in preparing and serving food safely, sanitation of facilities, individual sanitation practices and temporary campground requirements such as set up, water supply, waste disposal and safety during the 2014 Congrès Mondial Acadien. They will also answer questions on these topics.

Although this is open to the public, attendance is encouraged for those who, during the CMA, are hosting a family reunion, a large community gathering, catering and or serving food, renting space in a private home, and or renting land for campers and tents
