MACHIAS, Maine — Eggs and Issues breakfast forums will return to the greater Machias area on the third Wednesday of each month, beginning on October 16. The events will be held from 7-8 a.m. at Helen’s Restaurant’s dining room and are hosted by the Machias Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. Each forum is expected to cover a topic pertinent to area businesses.

The first forum will feature State Senator David Burns and Washington County Commissioner Chris Gardner speaking on the FREE ME project, which proposes eliminating all state taxes in Washington County.

Future forum topics include: Washington County Advocacy – Whose Job Is It?, Childhood Obesity and Hunger in Washington County, How To Survive the Slow Season, Competing With a Digital Marketplace, Bold Coast Highway Initiative, and Raising the Bar – Customer Service in Washington County.
