OXFORD, Maine — Lorie Olson recently joined Bearfoot Realty of Oxford as a broker. A native of Bethel and resident of the Oxford Hills for more than 30 years, Olson has more than 20 years of experience in the housing and real estate industries in Western Maine.
Olson owned and operated ERA Horizon real estate agency in Norway in the 1980s and 1990s. She also worked with Oxford Hills Realty, Oxford Homes and Schiavi Homes, has invested in income property, and has flipped homes. She has a depth and breadth of experience ranging from lakefront to mountaintop and new construction to antique.
“I love listening to the needs of families and couples. There is nothing more satisfying than helping them choose just the right home,” said Olson in a press release. “There are many couples who I worked with when they bought or sold their first home way back when. I look forward to working with many of those same folks again — and with the second and third generations off those families. I know the area well and enjoy doing business close to home; it is great to catch up with folks and to stay in touch at coffee shops and at events around town.”
Olson specializes in buyer and seller representation in transactions involving residential properties, land, and vacation homes on and near many of the area’s mountains, lakes and ponds.
“I am so thrilled to welcome Lorie to the Bearfoot team. She is a motivated, honest person,” said Monica LaVerdiere, owner of the company. “We are well known for our high level of knowledge, enthusiasm and energy, and Lorie certainly fits that bill. People love working with her.”
Olson resides in South Paris with her partner, Paul Ricci, also a native of the area, and an employee with the U.S. Department of Defense who has been deployed once to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan. Olson has a son who studies at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and two adult daughters; she welcomed her first granddaughter this past summer. She spends much of her leisure time golfing, hiking, and snowshoeing. She is a member of the Mahoosuc Land Trust.
Olson will begin working with sellers and buyers immediately. She can be reached at (207) 890-3814 or via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
