Kennebec Performing Arts Company: Call for Musicians!

The Kennebec Performing Arts Company is pleased to announce that we are welcoming new musicians for our Spring season. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organization with a long history of making music in the greater Augusta area. Under the direction of Charles T. Milazzo, our three ensembles – an auditioned 4-part chorus, a large wind ensemble, and a jazz band – perform in at least two concert series each year. Our musicians are your incredibly talented neighbors and fellow community members – everyone from students to music teachers; from working professionals to the retired young-at-heart.

We are seeking both vocalists and instrumentalists. The ability to read music is required. Our chorus rehearses Monday nights from 6:30-8:30, at the Hope Baptist Church in Manchester – first rehearsal is Monday, February 3. Our Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble rehearse Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:30, in the Cony High School Band Room – first rehearsal is Tuesday, February 25. Please contact Chuck Milazzo at 685-9653 to learn more about how to join us.

For those of you who don’t sing or play an instrument, please put our Pops Concert Series in your calendars now! This concert series will feature all American composers – you’re sure to recognize some old favorites, and likely fall in love with some new tunes, too! Concerts are Friday, May 2nd, 7:00p.m, Winthrop Performing Arts Center, and Saturday, May 3, 7:00 pm at Williamson Auditorium at Lawrence High School. Check out our website and like us on Facebook for more details!
