John Lescure promoted to state position at People’s Bank

PORTLAND, Maine — People’s United Bank announced today that John Lescure was promoted to the Market Leader and Senior Vice President for the Maine division.  Lescure joined the bank in 1995, and has distinguished himself by successfully leading the wealth management team that provides personal, family, non-profit, and business financial services to high net-worth clients. In his new role he will be responsible for leading and growing the Maine division for People’s United Bank.

John holds a law degree from Western New England School of Law, and he is also a Certified Trust and Financial Adviser.  In addition, he serves as a CTFA Mentor for the Institute of Certified Bankers and is a member of the Maine Estate Planning Council.

Lescure is an active member of his community.  He has served as a committee or board member with many non-profit organizations including: Berwick Academy Boosters, Boy Scouts, Kennebunk Land Trust, Habitat for Humanity-York County, and York County Community College
