One of the greatest threats to our Maine forests is sitting right on our doorstep. Non-native invasive forest insects can damage & kill trees at unprecedented rate. With no native, natural controls, the damage to our forests could be extensive. There are a few things that each of us can do to help slow or prevent the spread of invasive forest pests, the most important of which are :
to learn to identify the signs of infestation and
to not move firewood!
Led by the knowledgable staff at the Soil and Water Conservation District, please join us for a workshop to learn how to identify these pests.
