HAMPDEN, Maine — Maine Department of Transportation crews will be milling and paving Interstate 95 northbound and southbound between Hampden and Bangor beginning June 15.
On I-95 southbound, the work begins 0.11 miles north of Hogan Road and extends south for 5.24 miles to just south of Exit 182A to Interstate 395. The northbound work begins 1.74 miles north of the Newburgh/Hampden town line and extends north for 11.04 miles to Hogan Road.
Work crews will be milling the existing pavement surface, repairing damaged shoulders and paving these areas. The project will skip the Union Street Bridge project and continue on the north and southbound sides.
There will be single-lane restrictions from 7 p.m. Sundays until 7 a.m. Saturdays. All work will be done at night. Motorists should use caution with grooved pavement and uneven lanes while the work occurs simultaneously in the north and southbound lanes.
It is anticipated all work will be completed by the end of July.
