Come play with us Friday, July 21st and Saturday, July 22nd at the Interactive Art Expo, brought to you free of charge by Artascope and the Bickford Education Center. Try your hand at gel printing, wire-wrapped seaglass key chains, wet felting, and beaded ornaments. All ages are invited to experience the uplifting and stress relieving effects of making art.
When you attend your favorite Clam Festival venues, be sure to take a quick walk down Main Street and visit our Art Expo at the Village Green Park next to the Bickford Truck Collection Pavilion. Artascope instructors will give demos on upcoming classes and workshops, including watercolor, metalsmithing, acrylic painting, and painting on silk.
We will have a family art table where you and the kids can sit down and get creative with Make & Take projects, such as wet felted soap, gel printed cards, a wire-wrapped seaglass key chain, and a beaded ornament.
The Gallery at Railroad Square will be open both days from 10am-4pm. Stop by to browse handmade fine jewelry, glass art, fiber art, paintings, cards, and other artisan gifts made by our members and local artists. It’s just around the corner from the Art Expo at 48 Railroad Square–follow the signs to the gallery, past the outdoor Truck Collection Pavilion.
Interested in learning more about Artascope at bec? Volunteering at the Art Expo is a great way to do that. Volunteers do not need any prior experience. Just let us know ahead of time that you’re willing to take part in the fun.
