HOULTON, Maine — Shauna Guiggey and Spencer Pelletier of Sherman welcomed the birth of their new son, Jacoby,  at 10:14 a.m. on Jan. 4, at Houlton Regional Hospital, and is the hospital’s first baby of 2014. Jacoby weighed 8 pounds, 9 1/2 ounces and was 20 inches long. He joins siblings Logan, Brody, Connor, Aiden and Shaylee. Jacoby arrived a little earlier than Mom and Dad had anticipated. They were pleasantly surprised he was the first baby born at Houlton Regional Hospital in 2014.

Several individuals and businesses donated items, which, when put all together, became a very large gift basket to be presented to Jacoby and his Mom and family for this very special event. Houlton Regional Hospital would like to extend thanks to the following for their generosity in making this event a very special time for the HRH’s first 2014 baby: LDRP Staff, Radiology Department Staff, Dr. Hong, Heleana Nickerson, Lisa Perfitt Swimm and Brittany Benn for their combined efforts in a baby quilt, as well as gift certificates from Hannaford Shop & Save, The Horn Restaurant, Houlton Chamber of Commerce, Temple Movie Theater, Stephanie Harris (Waves Cuts & Curls) and Aroostook RSVP Volunteer.

Chris Fitzpatrick, Senior Regional Vice President of Machias Savings Bank, was also on hand to meet Jacoby and present a very generous gift basket on behalf of Machias Savings Bank for HRH’s first 2014 baby.
