The theme of this years festival is “Do One Thing (DOT)”. Festival organizers seek submission of five minute presentations of one thing festival participants could do to create a better world. short-format talks that invite people to share an idea.

Festival planners will select 10 – 12 presentations in the areas of environmental sustainability, local food, peace, human rights, economic justice, healhcare, women’s empowerment, education, spirituality and alternatives such as cooperatives. The deadline for submissions is March 15th with auditions the following weeks. Those
chosen to make a presentation at the festival will be notified the week of April 8st. A “Connect the DOT’s Ceremony will conclude the festival.

The festival is free because volunteers donate time to plan and organize the festival and on the day itself. Volunteers who are willing to help can contact the Peace & Center of Eastern Maine at 942-9343 or e-mail . Social change organizations interested in tabling at the festival can download organizational table applications at www.peacectr.org.
