Hirundo announces guides for hikes at Winter Fun Day

OLD TOWN – As part of the Varney Agency Winter Fun Day at Hirundo,  we are pleased to announce that Bonnie Newsom, assistant professor of Anthropology & Indigenous archaeologist, will lead a Native American History guided hike at noon, Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1107 W Old Town Rd.

Additionally,  Winter Ecology Walks will be held at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with Amber Roth, assistant professor of Forest Wildlife Management UMaine, and Karen Johnson, Maine master naturalist.

These guided hikes are free as part of the Winter Fun Day activities.  Admission to the Varney Agency Winter Fun Day is $15 for adults, children are free.  For more information about Hirundo and Winter Fun Day, visit www.HirundoMaine.org.
