Join me in acknowledging that Catherine Bradley is a formidable opponent to dirt, rocks, hills, and miles- and miles.

She just finished the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.

Of course, the Marginally Famous Bangor Police Department Duck of Justice appears to be smug, but he is truly impressed.

I will apologize for my greeter’s uniform, but I wasn’t on the clock. Normally I wear a tuxedo tee shirt and wing tips on my day off, so I do apologize.

From Catherine’s post-

“This past Friday, the day after finishing my AT thru-hike at Katahdin, I had a double thrill. I visited the Duck of Justice AND had the great pleasure of meeting and chatting with TC. My trip to the great state of Maine has been ideal.”

I should also acknowledge the wonderful couple from Switzerland who came into the LOTD (Lair of the Duck) during our visit.

Wonderful folks who allowed me to pose a few questions about the neutrality of their country. It should be noted that they delivered Swiss chocolate.

It was like old home week in the museum.

What a great year of visitors to the Bangor Police Department.

All because of a Duck? Probably not. But he was able to bring the Georgians to the table in order to discuss the neutrality of Switzerland.

The world gets smaller when you have a pair of worn out hiking boots and a few bars of Swiss chocolate.

Thanks for stopping by.

Keep your hands to yourself, leave other people’s things alone, and be kind to one another.

We will be here.
