BANGOR — The Friends of the Bangor Public Library is accepting donations of quality used hardcover and paperback books for its annual used book sale, to be held 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Elks Lodge, 108 Odlin Road.

All proceeds benefit the library.

Teresa and Steve Wong generously give the Friends space to collect books and sort the donations at their Creative Arts Center at 54 Wilson St. in Brewer, along side the end of the Chamberlain Bridge. Book sale donations are no longer accepted at the Bangor Public Library building on Harlow Street.

Books can be dropped off at the Creative Arts Center from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

Books should be clean and in good condition. For large donations, call 843-5261.
Friends does not accept textbooks, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books or sets of encyclopedias, because those books rarely sell.
