On Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. in the Belfast Free Library, at 106 High Street, there will be a free screening of “Genetic Roulette: The Gamble of our Lives”, an award winning documentary film which provides scientific documentation about the potential risks of eating genetically engineered (GE) foods, especially among children. A post-film discussion will be led by Logan Perkins, coordinator for the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA)’s successful Right-To-Know GMO (genetically modified organisms) labeling campaign.
This event is co-sponsored by the Belfast Free Library and the Belfast Co-op. For more information about the film, visit http://geneticroulettemovie.com; about this event, phone the Library: 338-3884, ext. 10.
