FRANKLIN — The Franklin Garden Club will hold a dedication ceremony at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14, for the Blue Star Memorial Marker for which the club raised funds, then had installed at Franklin Memorial “Galamander” Park on Route 182, Grist Mill Road.
The marker, a tribute to past, present and future members of the armed forces and their families, will be unveiled on Flag Day.
The VFW, Army, Marines, Navy and Coast Guard will send representatives, and State Sen. Brian Langley will address the audience. The ceremony will include an Honor Guard, guest speakers and music selections.
The marker, sponsored by Franklin Garden Club, was made possible in cooperation with Franklin Historical Society and many community businesses and organization.
Refreshments will be available.
