Press Release
Fort Kent Downtown Revitalization Committee Receives Donations

Fort Kent – For about a year now, the Fort Kent Downtown Revitalization Committee has been working together and actively seeking additional business and retail development for the Fort Kent Downtown Business District.
This Committee is committed to developing, protecting, sustaining, and enhancing economic development, sense of community, historical heritage, tourism, recreation, and citizen and business leader participation in the Fort Kent Downtown District. We are a diverse group that includes business, municipality, and civic leaders who have the experience, financial knowledge, and passion to drive the redevelopment of the downtown.
The Committee, in conjunction with America’s First Mile, is in the process of developing a strategic marketing plan for the Downtown, including the areas that are vacant as a result of the 2012 fires, demolition, and business relocation. Within the last several months, several Fort Kent businesses, financial institutions, the municipality, and individuals have made generous donations that total $21,500 to support the Committee’s efforts in developing this marketing plan. Thus far, the following Fort Kent organizations and individuals have generously donated:
Key Bank Acadia FCU Katahdin Trust Co. Quigley’s
United Insurance Carl Theriault Dead River Co. Crosswinds
CNA Trucking Daigle Oil Co. TNT Road Co. Gas N Go
Ameridial Inc. Norstate FCU NAPA TD Bank
Daigle & Houghton Emera Maine Town of Fort Kent

The Fort Kent Downtown Revitalization Committee would like to thank you for your financial commitment to sponsor our vision of a revitalized Downtown that is shared by the good residents of this great community.
