Empty Bowl church fundraiser to benefit food cupboard

HAMPDEN, Maine — Hampden Highlands United Methodist Church will hold its second Empty Bowl fundraiser 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at the church’s fellowship hall, 44 Kennebec Road, to benefit Hampden Neighborhood Food Cupboard. The menu includes soup, bread/rolls, desserts, coffee and tea. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Each diner will get a ticket for a free drawing for handmade bowls and platters created by Hampden Academy art students, directed by art teacher Bethany Hanson.

The food cupboard, located at the congregational church on Maine Road North, is open 10-11 a.m.  Wednesdays and one Wednesday evening a month.
