“Rhythms of the Heart,” a documentary on the life and works of David Moses Bridges will be shown on August 11 at 7 pm at the Eastport Arts Center. Bridges, who was raised at Pleasant Point, dedicated decades of his life to the preservation of Abenaki arts and crafts, while making a point of sharing his knowledge and expertise with the younger generation. The film was produced by Mount Desert Island filmmaker Thom Willey.
Admission is by suggested donation of $8, adults, and $4, 12 and under. A reception will follow the film.
DVD Copies of “Rhythms of the Heart” will be for sale at the screening for $20 each, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the DMB Fund.
