DOT: Emergency culvert repair will close Route 25 in Gorham

GORHAM — Route 25 in Gorham near 333 Ossipee Trail will be closed beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday, April 7, and is anticipated to reopen by 8 p.m. Sunday, April 8.

Motorists will be detoured approximately 10 miles utilizing Route 112 to Route 22 to Route 35.

All businesses will remain open and accessible.

There will be alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers as equipment is mobilized to this location in advance of the closure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 6.

Emergency repairs include removing the failing culvert and installing a temporary structure. Later this year, crews will return to install a permanent structure at this location.

Shaw Brothers of Gorham will perform this $170,000 project.
