Down East Hospice Volunteers of Washington County will be hosting the 29th annual Cobscook Bay Races, which has morphed into a whole new format. The event will have participants complete a 10K/5K run or walk course or a one mile fun run for children 10 years and under, at their own convenience, on an honor system, until June 1.
Participants will send in their recorded times as per directions on the race website. Down East Hospice Volunteers will send a commemorative T-shirt to the first 50 participants who respond. There will be no group race, no prizes and no post-race get together this year — no meeting of a large group in one place.
Each participant will run or walk a 10K or 5K distance where it is safe and convenient for them to do so (close to home) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Folks can run or walk or meander in their own backyards. Please continue to support DEHV by participating in this event. It’s safe and it’s fun and you can make a difference.
