CAMDEN, Maine — Tim Nightingale, executive vice president and senior loan officer for Camden National Bank, is pleased to welcome Brent A. Folster to the position of vice president, commercial lending.
With offices in Bangor and Old Town, Folster will serve the Bangor region and report to Steve Thomas, senior vice president and regional commercial manager.
“I am very pleased to have Brent join our Bangor commercial lending team. As a well-known local leader, he brings with him 35 years of banking experience and a reputation for building long-lasting customer relationships,” said Nightingale, in a press release.
A lifelong resident of Old Town, Folster is active in the community serving as a director of the YMCA of Old Town-Orono and secretary of the Old Town-Orono YMCA Foundation; vice president of the board of the Old Town Residential Services Corp.; and a board member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine.
“Brent is known throughout the Bangor region for his warm personality and commitment to improving the community through each interaction and generous public service. I am excited to work with an experienced commercial lender that has a deep understanding of the businesses and markets that he serves,” said Thomas, in the press release.
Prior to joining Camden National Bank, Folster served as the vice president/market manager, business banking for People’s United Bank, where he worked for 15 years as a commercial lender, portfolio manager, and government and municipal officer.

A graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, Folster received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He also completed additional courses in business strategy, customer experience and portfolio management in 2010 and 2011.
