CAMDEN — The Camden Village Green is now ready for whatever Mother Nature may have to offer in the coming months, thanks to an enthusiastic team of Camden Garden Club members and spouses. On a chilly Saturday morning this hearty group employed wheelbarrows, rakes, buckets and shovels to spread eight yards of mulch over the garden beds that surround the green.  The effort was orchestrated by club member Judy McGuirk, who did such a great job the whole process was completed in about 90 minutes!

The garden club will end the year with their annual wreath assembly event at the American Legion in Camden at 8:00 a.m. on November 15. The Winter Horticulture Series at the Camden Public Library will begin on Tuesday, January 30 at 10:00 a.m. and continue for five weeks, weather permitting.  Camden Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club Federation of Maine and National Garden Clubs, Inc. Guests and prospective members are always welcome.
