Ericka Marshall, RN, is the 2014 recipient of Calais Regional Hospital’s highest honor, the CRH Excellence Award. Co-workers nominate individuals for this prestigious award given to an individual who exemplifies teamwork, respect for people, service to others, outstanding customer service & dedication to quality.
Ericka is a person that is always willing to help out. She is always professional and courteous and a team player always. A great resource and teacher, she empowers staff, often saying, let’s do it together, or let me show you how. She has a health approach to education, encouraging it for others and for herself. She willingly shares new information and works consistently to improve quality. She is a family oriented mother of two teenagers, who volunteers in their school activities.
A graduate of Calais High School, she earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from the University of Maine at Augusta and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maine at Fort Kent. She holds National Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB). She is an instructor for prenatal classes and a past instructor for the Certified Nursing Assistant Program. Since joining Calais Regional Hospital 15 years ago, she has worked as a pharmacy technician, certified nursing assistant, registered nurse, and is currently Director of the Obstetrics Department.
Ericka lives in Calais with her husband and two children.
