PORTLAND, Maine — Broadreach Public Relations has recently hired Cumberland native Katelynn Boynton as its intern for summer 2014.

Broadreach’s internship program, now in its fourth year, is highly competitive and provides a strong experience for its participants.

“Broadreach is committed to providing opportunity to attract and keep youth in Maine,” explains Linda Varrell, President of Broadreach Public Relations.

“I’ve learned so much from being in the program despite only being here for a couple of weeks, from writing concise press releases to media profiling,” says Boynton. “I’m excited to continue working with such talented individuals.”

Although a political science major at Marist College, Boynton says her work in media coverage and marketing strategy has been both interesting and profitable. She hopes to optimize her writing, media research and communication skills at Broadreach for a future career in policy analysis after attending graduate school.

Broadreach Public Relations, located on Portland, Maine’s historic waterfront, provides high-level strategic communications, public affairs and marketing services to some of New England’s most highly regarded firms and organizations.
