Brewer Boy Scout troop to host car show

BREWER, Maine — Brewer’s Troop 15 Boy Scouts will host the 7th annual Brewer Days Car Show 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at the SnapSpace Solution Parking Lot at 55 Baker Blvd. in the Brewer Industrial Park.

The event will feature 16 classes, including Motorcycles, People’s Choice, and Eagle Scout’s Choice. New classes this year are Rat Rod/Projects and Corvettes. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each class, with a one-of-a-kind Scout-made trophy for 1st place. The awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m.

Special features include NSRA vehicle inspections throughout the day; the Darling Ice Cream Truck, noon-2 p.m.; a free Lowes “Make ‘n Take” activity for children; a silent auction; and a concession stand offering breakfast, lunch and baked goods.

Registration fee is $5 per vehicle; no admission fee for spectators. Proceeds benefit the Boy Scouts of America Troop 15 activities.
