ORRINGTON, Maine — Six local Maine bands will perform at Bluegrass Fundraising Festival and Civil War Event, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 12, rain or shine at the Curran Homestead Village, 372 Fields Pond Rd.
The music festival begins at 11 a.m. and will feature local Maine favorites Freshly Cut Grass Bluegrass Band, Original Condition Bluegrass Band, Riverdrivers Bluegrass Band, Doug Alley & Friends Bluegrass, Mr. Moon Band, and Wyld Blue Yonder Band. Tickets, which include admission to both the Civic War Event and the Bluegrass Festival, available at the door are $9 adults, $7 Seniors/Veterans, $5 Students, Free for ages 6 and under, Family (Parents & Children) Max: $25. There will be an ongoing barbecue, salads and beverages after 12 p.m. for an additional cost.
Proceeds will benefit Curran Homestead Village which is currently in the midst of a growth spurt with renovations to several buildings as well as new construction of its museum village campus.
