Blue Hill Library Film: The Lady Eve

The Friends of the Blue Hill Public Library Film Series will continue with The Lady Eve (1941), starring Barbara Stanwyck and Henry Fonda, on Thursday, December 8th at 7:00 PM at the Library. The film is a “screwball comedy,” written and directed by Preston Sturges, and based on a story by Monckton Hoffe. In the film a con woman meets the handsome heir to a brewery fortune on an oceanliner, and tricks him into marrying her but ends up falling for him.
