The Fickenschers were the first to try to sneak a badger by the front desk people.
NOOooooooooo, I’m kidding.
Noira, who is still trying to pronouce Fickenschers without growling, appears to be not all that impressed with the Duck of Justice.
We get it.
We want to thank Henry and Marie Fickenschers for stopping by the station.
These are our first Fickenschers, as far as I know.
Noira is not our first dog visitor, we get plenty. We do ask that you check in at the front desk prior to toting your pooch into the station. We just want to make sure that our patrol dogs are not in the lobby before other pooches arrive.
Show downs between dogs are no fun in the lobby. We don’t even really like ‘rassling with angry humans in the lobby as it’s not carpeted. It does save rug-burns.
Hey, swing by. Have your photo taken with the Duck of Justice. Yesterday there was a line for a short time.
The Duck Abides.
Keep your hands to yourself, leave other people’s things alone, and be kind to one another.
We will be here.
BPD Duck of Justice will be published occasionally in BDN Maine Weekly on Thursdays. This installment is for July 25.
