BANGOR, Maine — The Babes of Wrath — Pat LaMarche and Diane Nilan — will discuss their 2013 New England Epic Journey Frost Bite Tours in which they try to give voice to homeless children, youths and families from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Dyke Center for Family Business at Husson University. LaMarche and Nilan will be joined by Shawn Yardley of Penobscot Community Health Care, Ilze Petersons of Bangor Peace & Justice Center, and other various agency representatives.

The Babes of Wrath visit New England to give voice and visibility to homeless kids, youth and families. Diane Nilan, founder of HEAR US an organization dedicated to putting a face to the homeless, and Pat LaMarche, two time candidate for Maine Governor and renowned author and journalist, have been traveling across the country to some of the most poorest areas seeing first hand our country’s homeless population, as well as shedding some light on those who are ignorant to the homeless epidemic.

The 2013 Frost Bites Tour includes Pennsylvania, New York City, Maine and Washington, D.C.

A documentary film  “My Own Four Walls” by Diane Nilan, sharing the story of some courageous young people as they share their stories of homelessness, will be shown.
