Stillwater Artsapalooza is a festival of performing and visual arts that involves over 50 local artists and is on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 6:00p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in downtown Orono. Artists will be performing and displaying their work at 16 downtown Orono venues including the Church of Universal Fellowship, The Store, The Family Dog, Black Bear Brewery, Thai Orchid, Harvest Moon, The Roost, Bear Brew Pub, Verve, Orono Public Library, University Inn, DeGrasse Jewelry, Orono United Methodist Church, the Keith Anderson Community Center, Orono Fire Station, and Ameriprise. Admission is free.
This year Artsapalooza will kick off with a Children’s Parade starting at the Orono Public Library at 5:30. Children are encouraged to dress up however they want and bring something to make some noise with.
Stillwater Artsapalooza is a fun-filled way to kick off your summer by seeing and hearing some of your favorite local artists and groups perform or display their work! Artists featured at this event include the Six Basin All Women Dixieland Band, Sarah Newcomb and Karl Hance, Teen Reader’s Theatre, tango dancing with Shiwa Noh, Jim Chasse, Jessie Walker, Kate Kirby, Tremolino, Good-Time Sound, John and Marisue Pickering, Brooke Nason, Paige Bacon, Daniel Perkins, Katie Woodilla, Connor Magliozzi, Lydia Bolin, Hannah Barry, Allison Pickering, the University of Maine Voice Faculty, Divisi, the OHS Jazz Combo, swing dancing with Chris and Dan Crocker, Annie Jewel, Chana Wingard the Orono High School Jazz Combo, Kathleen Ellis and Friends, Divisi, the Artesani Family and Friends, Cameron Guay, Bob Klose, Old Time Machine, Sandy Phippen, the Sunset Strip Band, Hanna Renedo, Nicholas Southwick, Teddi Jan Covell, and the winners of the Stillwater Community Arts Young Artist 2014 Performing Arts Scholarships as well as many more!
