BELFAST, Maine — Arts in the Park Belfast will continue for its 19th year, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13, on the Belfast waterfront. The venue is undeniably beautiful, with the harbor and Penobscot Bay as a backdrop for the 80 or so artists and artisans exhibiting their original work. There will be paintings, metalwork, photos, jewelry, stone work, fiber, pottery and more.
There will be plenty of food as well. Along with The Game Loft and their hamburgers, hot dogs and Belfast Splash beverage, Uproot Pie Co. will be making wood-fired pizza on site; Ye Old Fish & Chips are back with their british style fish ‘n’ chips and Maine lobster rolls; Stone Fox Farm Creamery will be scooping their creamy ice-cream; and The Good Kettle will have hot coffee, iced tea, Maine whoopie pies and other baked goods. In addition, four local churches will be serving strawberry shortcake to raise funds for the local Interfaith Fuel Fund – to assist those in need with heating costs during cold winter months.
