Androscoggin welcomes new clinical staff

LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Healthcare & Hospice President and Chief Executive Officer Kenneth Albert is pleased to announce three new clinical staff positions.

Jim Schneid, MD, was hired as a per diem staff physician in Hospice. Dr. Schneid is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame; SUNY Upstate Medical Center; and was a resident in family practice at SUNY Wilson Hospital Family Practice Program. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care. Schneid is a clinical associate professor of family medicine at the University of New England’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. He had served in academic appointments at Tufts Medical School and Dartmouth Medical School. He is an accomplished author and presenter. He resides in Winthrop.

Katharine Addicott, NP, was hired as a per diem Nurse Practitioner at Hospice and Palliative Care programs. Addicott is a graduate of Appalachian State University; University of Southern Maine; and certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners with advanced certifications in hospice and palliative care from the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses; and certification in Palliative Care Education in the pediatric track from Harvard Medical School. She is a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner at Maine Medical Center’s Palliative Care Program in Portland. She has an extensive background in public health nursing. Addicott resides in South Portland.

Nancy Wright, NP, was hired as a Nurse Practitioner at the hospice program. Wright is a graduate of Northeastern University; Simmons College; Indiana University School of Nursing, and Doctorate Nursing from Northeastern University. She was a Family Nurse Practitioner at the CMMF/Bridgton Hospital Practice Group. She has served as a nursing academic instructor at St. Joseph’s College, University Southern Maine, University of New England’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, and other New England Colleges. She resides in Bridgton.
