ALFRED, NY – Abigail Z. Smith, a resident of Saint Albans, ME, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2017 semester at Alfred University (AU). She is a senior in the School of Art and Design and is an Art History and Theory major. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to qualify for Dean’s List.

A graduate of Nokomis Regional High School, Smith is the daughter of Jayson and Marjorie Smith of Saint Albans, ME.

Founded in 1836, Alfred University is located in the village of Alfred, NY, a small, scenic, community nestled between the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains and the Finger Lakes. A striking feature of Alfred University is the fact that its diversity exists in a relatively small institution. Alfred serves approximately 1,700 undergraduate and nearly 400 graduate students. With more than 40 majors and concentrations to choose from, students can combine majors and minors across four colleges and schools, or complete a second degree.
