Mark your calendars for two shows of Eastport Art Center’s 10th Annual Moose Island Follies on Thursday, July 3rd at 4 & 7:30pm. This year’s theme, “Remember When…” will feature an extravaganza of song, dance, and comedy from performers from all over Washington County celebrating good old fashioned summertime fun. Enjoy favorite performers from the past, along with exciting new acts to bring you to the edge of your seats! Tickets on sale now for general admission or VIP champagne seats. The special VIP seating includes front row views, complimentary glass of champagne or non alcoholic substitute, hors d’oeuvres, raffle ticket, and early seating with pre-show music by local musicians. This annual event is a benefit for the Eastport Arts Center.
Some acts include: Father and son duo, Brian and Sam Schuth; piano and clarinet English folk songs; 14-year-old singer songwriter from Calais, Meghan Clark; the incomparable John Smith singing maritime songs; comic monologue by Savannah Ampugnan; Nathaniel Koenig on jazz guitar; a Barbershop Quartet; country music duo, Melissa Newcomb and Bill Johnson; and our great ~120-year-old Harrison tracker-action 600 pipe organ played by Edward French.
