Game notes: UMaine returns home after suffering its second overtime loss of the season, a 63-59 decision at St. Peter’s on Saturday. The Black Bears controlled the pace of that game, but St. Peter’s limited White to a season-low five points. Larsson played in 45 minutes while Fleming played 44, with the latter now ranked 19th nationally in minutes played per game (36.6). Defense will be pivotal for UMaine against a Fordham team that averages 76 points per game and shoots 46.4 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from the 3-point line. Fordham of the Atlantic 10 Conference is 15-4 all-time against America East opponents. The Rams are coached by Jeff Neubauer, who recruited former Messalonskee of Oakland standout Nick Mayo to Eastern Kentucky before leaving that head coaching post in March 2015 for his present job without ever coaching Mayo. UMaine returns to action Saturday afternoon at Dartmouth, 4-4 entering its game Wednesday against Quinnipiac.
