Brandon Berry of West Forks lost a six-round unanimous decision to veteran Bryan Goldsby of Macon, Georgia, on Saturday night in the co-main event of a pro-am boxing card at the Skowhegan Recreation Center.
The loss in the super welterweight bout dropped Berry — who also promoted the boxing card — to 13-5-2 in his pro boxing career, while Goldsby improved to 5-8.
In the night’s other headline bout, veteran middleweight Russell Lamour Jr. of the Portland Boxing Club returned to the ring after a year-long absence to win by technical knockout over journeyman Larry Smith of Dallas, Texas.
Lamour used body shots to force the stoppage. With the victory, he improved his pro record to 16-3 with one no contest.
