Woman accused of killing man with her car on baseball field to appear in court

The woman charged with manslaughter after allegedly driving onto a baseball field and killing a man is expected to appear in court Friday.

Carol Sharrow will be arraigned Friday afternoon at the York County courthouse.

She is charged with killing Douglas Parkhurst, 68, of West Newfield, after she drove onto a baseball field during a baseball game.

It happened last June at Goodall Park in Sanford, and it was all caught on tape.

A video of the baseball game shows Sharrow’s car circling bases as umpires and players ran from the scene.

The 51-year-old Sanford resident is facing manslaughter and aggravated assault charges.

Sharrow is expected to be arraigned at 2:30 p.m.

If convicted, Sharrow faces up to 30 years in prison.
