Police in Hancock are searching for four pitbull puppies that were reported stolen from their home Sunday afternoon, according to a local radio station.

The thief allegedly broke into a home on Washington Junction Road around 3 p.m. Sunday and stole the litter, which included three males and one female, each only 6½ weeks old, according to WDEA AM. Three of the puppies are black and white, and one is white and a brownish, tawny color.

Deputies from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department were called and are looking for any information that would help track down the puppies. They can be reached at 207-667-7575.
