Falmouth police believe someone may try to distribute turkey that disappeared from a Hannaford dumpster.

FALMOUTH, Maine – Falmouth police have issued a turkey warning just in time for the holiday season.

Police say they received a report from the Hannaford store in Falmouth that turkeys were taken from the dumpster behind the store.

The birds were disposed of after thawing due to a mechanical failure.

Police believe someone might be redistributing the turkeys, and advise against taking possibly hazardous food from someone you don’t know.
