A Portland woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly used her car to hit a man in his driveway.

Paula Finley, 51, was charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief and violation of conditions of release, according to the Falmouth Police Department.

She also was wanted on two warrants from the Portland Police Department.

A Falmouth man confronted Finlay Saturday night as she sat in her vehicle in his driveway, Falmouth police said in a Facebook post.

“Ms. Finlay accelerated her vehicle and struck the resident, throwing him over the hood and into the windshield. The resident rolled off the vehicle and onto Foreside Rd as Ms. Finlay fled the scene,” police said.

The man sustained injuries that police said weren’t life-threatening.

With cooperation of the South Portland Police Department, Falmouth police arrested Finlay without incident Tuesday at Willard Beach.

Finlay is being held at the Cumberland County Jail in Portland on $35,000 bail. She will make her first court appearance Wednesday at the Cumberland County courthouse in Portland.
