A group of pups is training to be seeing eye dogs at the Portland Jetport.

Ten future guide dogs are visiting the busy terminal and getting ready for their life helping the blind.

The group Guiding Eyes for the Blind is handling the dogs right now.

Trainers are taking on the 8-week-old pups, teaching them the basics and exposing them to several types of situations.

It may be hard to ignore these dogs when you see them in public, but in order for these puppies to be successful, the manager of Guiding Eyes for the Blind says they learn without any distractions.

These hard working puppies will return to Guiding Eyes for more thorough training when they are around 14 months old.
