Lewiston police warn of aggressive fox

LEWISTON, Maine – Lewiston police are urging the public to be on the lookout after reports of an aggressive fox.

The fox is suspected to be rabid after attacking two people in two days.

Lewiston police say the fox bit someone on Hackett Street Thursday and again on Willow Circle Friday.

They are warning people in the area to keep an eye out .

Lewiston police say the fox should be easy to identify since it has a face full of porcupine quills.

Lewiston police are urging people to keep an eye out. If you think you see the fox, do not approach it.
