A Bath man with a history of convictions for sex crimes was arrested Saturday afternoon after police say he exposed himself and masturbated in front of teenage girls while parked in his truck on Front Street.

Jeremy Collier, 39, was charged with misdemeanor indecent conduct, according to a release from Bath police Lt. Robert Savary.

Police were notified by a parent of one of the girls that a man later identified as Collier was exposing himself and masturbating while seated in his truck. The girls, aged 13 and 14, allegedly saw Collier as they walked from Patten Free Library.

Police approached the vehicle and allegedly witnessed the activity, then arrested Collier. He was released on $2,500 unsecured bail with a condition that he have no contact with children younger than 16.

According to Savary, Collier was convicted of indecent conduct in 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2016, and of visual sexual aggression against a child in 2001.

He is scheduled to appear in West Bath District Court on Sept. 19.
