Dixfield police rescue abandoned fawn

DIXFIELD, Maine — Sunday, Dixfield police rescued a fawn who had been left behind for three days.

“Dixfield Police Department will always advocate to leave all wildlife alone, but every now and then we have to step in and help Mother Nature out,” the police department said in a Facebook post.

The police acted following advice from a Maine game warden.

The fawn will be rehabilitated.
