LYMAN, Maine — A local man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly fired a gun following an argument with his wife.
Glenn Waterman, 32, was charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, according to a statement on the Facebook page for the Maine State Police.
After an argument Saturday morning, Waterman’s wife shortly before 8 a.m. left their home with their child, fearing for her safety, the state police said. She was on the phone with a state police dispatcher when she heard a gunshot coming from the direction of the house.
The dispatcher on the phone with Waterman’s wife reported hearing the the gunshot in the background, according to the state police.
No was injured during the incident, and the gun was found in the backyard of the couple’s home after Waterman’s arrest.
He was taken to the York County Jail in Alfred, and his bail was set at $500.
