Berwick police seek suspect in burglaries

BERWICK, Maine — Police in Berwick are asking for the public’s help to find a man suspected of breaking into a number of homes.

Thomas Primmerman, 27, of 117 Little River Road, is wanted by Berwick police in connection with recent residential burglaries.

Berwick Police Detective Ron Lund said they were led to Primmerman by surveillance footage.

“He’s suspected of multiple residential burglaries,” Lund said. The burglaries usually occurred during the day when people were not home and someone made forced entry into the home, Lund said.

Lund said Primmerman is suspected of taking cash, jewelry and items that can be sold quickly.

“We have had multiple contacts with him over the years and worked with numerous other agencies reviewing surveillance footage,” Lund said. “Once we saw him on surveillance we knew who it was.”

Lund said Primmerman is most likely in the Berwick, Rochester, N.H. or Dover, N.H. areas.

“Once we posted him on Facebook yesterday we were immediately getting notifications he was on foot in the area of Little River Road in Berwick, so we think he’s hiding out in the area,” he said.

According to Lund, one warrant for burglary has been issued for Primmerman so far, and the district attorney’s office is working on others.

Police are asking anyone who may know of Primmerman’s whereabouts to contact the Berwick Police Department at 207-698-1136.
