BASKETBALL

FORT FAIRFIELD — This year’s Tiger Basketball Camp has been set for 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., June 29-July 3 for girls at Fort Fairfield High School gyms. The camp is open to players in grades 1-8 and is limited to the first 125 applicants. The fee of $130 includes the camp instruction, meals, awards, T­-shirt and a camp basketball, as well as the ending “Family Barbecue” awards. FORT KENT — Warrior Basketball Camp, June 29-July 3, at Fort Kent Community High School Gym. The camp is open to boys and girls entering grades K-8. Camp will run Monday-Thursday, 8:30-10 a.m., for grades K-3 ($25); and 8:30-11:30 a.m. for grades 4-8 ($50). CHEERING

ORONO — The University of Maine Cheerleaders will hold the 13th annual Spirit Camp, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., June 29-July 1, at the New Balance Student Recreation Center. This camp is for those who have completed grades K-6. Instruction will be provided in cheers, chants, jumps, motion technique and dance. The cost is $110. GOLF

BANGOR — Husson Athletics will hold its fourth annual Husson Eagles Golf Outing June 26 at Bangor Municipal Golf Course. The event will give participants the opportunity to rub elbows with their favorite Husson coaches, former athletes, alumni, friends, and local personalities. Proceeds will benefit the Husson Athletics General Fund. The tournament will be a scramble. Registration is at 11:30 a.m. with a noon shotgun start. PORTLAND — The First Tee of Maine, in collaboration with Women’s Maine State Golf Association and Southern Maine Women’s Golf Association, will hold its second annual Girls Golf Fair, 1-3 p.m., Sunday, June 28, rain or shine, at the short-game practice area adjacent to Riverside South Golf Course. The Girls Golf Fair, free to everyone, will provide instruction by local golf professionals, college players and seasoned golfers. Girls of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend. In addition to golf activities, there will information on area golf courses’ junior programs for girls, the state women’s golf associations and a listing of college golf scholarships. ROAD RACING

BREWER — The 35th annual Walter Hunt Fourth of July 3K Road Race will begin 10:45 a.m. Saturday, July 4, 15 minutes before the parade, Brewer Auditorium, Wilson Street. $12 per person or $35 for a family of up to four people for pre-registration postmarked June 26. GUILFORD — A Fitness 5K and Kids Fun Run will be held July 25 in conjunction with the Piscataquis River Festival. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the Kids Fun Run begins at 8 a.m. Free. First 24 entrants will receive a T-shirt and ribbon. First-third place awards. The Fitness 5K registration begins at 8:15 a.m. and the race at 8:45 a.m. It may be run or walked. SOCCER

FORT KENT — The University of Maine-Fort Kent student affairs office will host a 7 vs. 7 soccer tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at the UMFK sports fields. The tournament will be a 16 and older co-ed event. Each team needs a minimum of seven players on the field at one time, including a goalkeeper. The cost is $2 per person.
