Brian Feulner, left, and John Holyoke prepare for a snow cave adventure.

On Thursday, February 26, two brave Bangor Daily News staffers headed to Unity to build a quinzhee, also known as a snow shelter or a snow cave, with students from Unity College. And then those two staffers would sleep in it.

Outdoors editor John Holyoke and visuals editor Brian Feulner live-tweeted their experience, giving readers and followers a front-row view of their experience.

If you missed it — or if you wanted to check it out again — we put collected their updates below. And stay tuned for next week, when we’ll have an inside look at quinzhee building.
