Three teens charged with Rockland high school break-in

ROCKLAND, Maine — Three teenagers were charged Monday and Tuesday with breaking into and vandalizing Oceanside High School East.

Cameron Dana, 18, of Owls Head, was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief, according to Rockland Deputy Police Chief Wally Tower. A 17-year-old Owls Head man, who was a student at the school, was charged with burglary and criminal mischief. A 17-year-old Rockland male was charged with criminal trespassing.

The burglary was reported to police Saturday morning at 8.

Police say the three broke into the school. Dana stole some personal items belonging to staff, Tower said.

Sgt. Detective Chris Young, Sgt. Ken Smith and Officer Scott Solorzano investigated the case which led to the three youths being apprehended.
